          I love my Ashram

  Pasang Tamang – Grade 8

I love my Ashram more than you can imagine. It gave me much more than I need, and taught me everything. When I came here, it was difficult for me to settle. But now I cannot leave the ashram, because it is my family. When I first came here, I was crazy, stupid and naughty, but now I am not.

I have learned about the value of money at the ashram, as well as singing, dancing, Yoga and Kama yoga. The Ashram teaches me to not try to be a millionaire, but to try to be a good person. The ashram teaches me to struggle and work hard in life, and to have good manners, good habits and self discipline.

My home life and ashram life

Roshan Aryal – Grade 10

Leonardo da Vinci: “Learning never exhausts the mind.”

My home was nothing like this ashram.  At home there were so many difficulties. But I had to face everything that came into my life. At home I was a very mischievous child. When I went to school, I skipped classes and ran away. As a child I was so stupid.

I will share what stupid things I did in my childhood. My uncle’s son and I decided to cook food outside. We made a big fire next to a big haystack, which caught fire and burned everything. We ran away. I was so stupid.

Ashram life changed me in so many ways. I wake up early and do karma yoga, which teaches me how to live, and brings great benefits, like how to talk to people. I also meditate, which has changed my life, and connected me to God.

I know how to take care of small children, and to respect older people. I do many things in this beautiful and peaceful ashram, where there are so many children, and my best friends. We play, and do many things together.

But, when I was a child at home, I was a mischievous boy.  Ashram life changed me, and made me peaceful. I have learned so many things, and I am ready to learn many more.

Global Warming

Living in Ashram since 4 years

Global warming is increasing the temperature of the Earth, which is caused by the presence of greenhouse gasses like CO2, methane, ammonia, nitroxide, and others.  Global warming is destructive. It is a natural process, but has been accelerated by human activities. There are some global warming benefits in nature, but mainly it destroys nature. In this essay, I’ll be discussing major problems caused by global warming, and an effective solution for it, with a possible conclusion. If we look back on history, before the industrial era, the earth was clean, with a healthy environment. The climate-change pattern was normal and natural.  But, after the industrial era, greenhouse gasses were produced, which created global warming.

Firstly, I will talk about the benefits of global warming. It warms the earth at night, and warms the cool Highlands, which is good for agriculture and people. Now I will talk about the destructive impact of global warming. Global warming is the main cause of climate-change. Over the last two centuries, the average temperature of the Earth’s surface has risen by 2.12° Fahrenheit and 1.8°C.  Between 1993 and 2019, there was an annual loss of 279 billion tons of ice in Greenland, and 148 billion tons of ice in Antarctica, from key evidence given by NASA. It also causes r ocean levels to rise, which is dangerous for lowland cities. There are also some major problems, like acid rain, forest fires, and a loss of snow habitats, with many species disappearing from the earth. Therefore, global warming is the most important issue in today’s world, which should be managed and controlled by the UN.

In conclusion, we have to act today, because tomorrow will be too late. Every single person should take part. Mother Earth is our common home, and it is our duty is to protect it.

The way you teach

To teach is to touch a life,

To open a mind,

To inspire a dream,

To light a fire.

To teach is to share knowledge,

To build understanding,

To create a spark,

To ignite a passion.

To teach is to be a guide,

A mentor,

A friend,

A role model.

To teach is to make a difference,

To change the world,

One student at a time.

The best method of teaching is to love what you
do,

To be passionate about your subject,

And to be willing to share your knowledge with
others.

When you teach with love and passion,

Your students will learn more,

And they will remember what you taught them
long after they have left your classroom.

So go out there and teach,

And make a difference in the world.
